Challenges
West Partners, an asset management service provider, deals with various businesses such as banks, brokerage firms, insurance providers, and credit unions. They needed an advanced platform for reporting, visualization, and pull-out-of-the-box reporting capabilities from diverse data sources, including QuickBase, third-party applications, and Excel files.
Solution
Intellectyx assisted West Partners in designing, developing, and implementing dashboards with drill-down and ad-hoc reporting capabilities. We integrated data sources using APIs and visualized the fund and category-based analysis using Tableau. The developed dashboards included:

- Category-Based Analysis: Covered investment categories, size of investments (large, medium, small), net assets by fund family, fund yield vs net assets, portfolio distribution, and sector-wise investment reports.
- Fund-Based Analysis: Included net assets showcasing total operating assets, average Morningstar ratings, YTD returns, category returns, rating stats, and total fund returns by monthly and quarterly distribution.
Results
West Partners could now visualize and analyze assets by categories along with net values. The dashboards enabled efficient filtering and drill-down capabilities, providing valuable insights into their portfolio management and optimizing decision-making processes.
