Dashboard Design and Development Using Power BI

The Buffalo School District, a leading urban education system in New York State, caters to 34,000 students across nearly 60 facilities, prioritizing outstanding teaching practices for its diverse student body. The Office of Shared Responsibility seeks insights into overall school performance, focusing on student schedule adherence, disciplinary actions, assessment performance, and medical interventions. Our dashboards, crafted in collaboration with Intellectyx, offer a comprehensive view of school metrics at the student, teacher, non-instructional staff, principal, and parent/guardian levels. These internal-facing dashboards, powered by Microsoft Power BI, provide school, district, and state-level scores on key indicators. Integrating data from sources like Infinite Campus and MUNIS, we developed ten diverse dashboards covering attendance, enrollment, suspension, assessment, and interventions. This initiative empowers Buffalo Public Schools to gauge performance, understand stakeholders, and make informed decisions based on real-time data. Our tailored approach ensures a practical and user-friendly system for educators and administrators alike, fostering a data-driven educational environment
